Anna Marshall

A few years after graduating from the University of York with an MA in music in 2001, Anna went on to specialise in orchestral trombone performance at the Royal Northern College of Music where she also received sackbut lessons with Sue Addison. She was awarded a distinction for her final recital and went on to gain experience performing with professional orchestras including the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.

Anna is a brass tutor in York who continues to work as a freelance trombonist throughout the north of England. She started performing on Sackbut with the York Waits in 2013 where she has been involved with recordings and concerts throughout the UK and Europe. Anna thoroughly enjoys exploring other early instruments such as recorder and crumhorn.
